GUY MACON has NO COLLEGE EDUCATION (guymacon, pseudo-engineer)

GUY MACON (guymacon) -

GUY MACON has NO COLLEGE EDUCATION and NO COLLEGE DEGREE. That is so
sad for a person who fancies himself as an electrical engineer. He even
admits on his online resume that he will accept a lower salary because
of his lack of a proper education.

Guy Macon learned electronics from one of those home study
do-it-yourself kits that you see on TV.

Guy Macon is not a real engineer.

You can see that he is extremely overweight, does not shave, and he is
known to have seriously bad body odor. He drinks and smokes
excessively. Who else but a loser would use the kind of shameless
self-promotion as Guy Macon does?

Is Guy Macon a motorcyclist? Because if the answer is no, I'll thank
you to please refrain from posting about him in rec.motorcycles.

By the way, Bill Gates has no college degree either -- and I'd say he
did pretty well as an engineer.

Now sod off.

I have no idea who Guy Whosis is... I have no idea who robert whatever
is.... I have altered your post to demonstrate how childish it is and have
even included the address from your headers as the same kind of spam bait
you have offered up.

If you have a beef, speak up, say your piece, offer your PROOF. And,
ferkrisakes, stop crossposting.

Sounds like an engineer to me.

Who the Hell is Guy Macon and why the Hell should anyone care?

Edison didn't have a college degree, neither did the Wright Brothers. The
Woz didn't when he put together the first Apple, Linus Torvalds didn't when
he wrote Linux, Bill Gates still doesn't, at least not an earned one
although he may have a few honorary degrees by this time. All of them did
pretty well as engineers. But they were too busy doing engineering to be
whining on USENET about how somebody else that nobody has ever heard of or
cares about doesn't have a degree.

Which has exactly what relevance to the question of degrees and engineering?
Hint--if you think that engineering is about "technological discoveries"
then you aren't one.

Sure, it's possible to succeed without a degree and probably always will be,
but it's a hell of a lot harder to do it now than it ever has been in the
past. Technological discoveries these days are almost always made by the
educated.

I assume you include yourself in the loser category? Because who else
would even care? IMHO, if this Macon guy can come up with good answers
he's an engineer.

Jesus didn't have a college degree either and he seems to have done okay.
