if you want to just get your feet wet and see what the fuss is all
about and find out if spraying is for you, check out the HF HVLP
system. . .they also carry the exact same system over at rockler
woodworking

HVLP systems do a very nice job of spraying lacquer.

I've got a HF HVLP system I use for paints and wood preservatives. Never
tried it for Lacquer but it doesn't adjust enough for me to try it with
Lacquer. I have an old commercial HVLP. Brand long since defunct but it's
similar to a Graco{SP?}.
