This looks just like a the Wixey Digital Angle Gauge (except it's red)
which has been around for awhile...

Yep. Apparently someone came out with a cheap digital inclinometer
mechanism and it's getting sold under a number of different brands.
This one seems to have magnets on all sides. The reviewer has used
the word "accurate" when talking about the resolution (number of
digits) of the display. He should have said "precise". Accuracy
wasn't tested in this review.

I must admit, these things are pretty handy. I bought the Wixey for
review on my web site:

Unlike the review here, I actually tested it for accuracy and verified
the claims. The biggest drawback is its dependence on gravity. It
will only measure vertical angles (blade tilt, jointer fence, and...
not much else). Handy, accurate, durable, but kinda pricey for a one
trick pony.

I've already got your product, Ed, and I'm very happy with it. But I
also bought a Beall Tilt Box and it's far and away the best $35 I've
spent in a long time. I use mine at least a few times a week, and
it's now one of my must-have tools for work. One trick pony? Maybe,
but it's a great trick and a great pony. It's great for tilting arbor
shaper set-up too. I love it.

It is a pretty fun device. I'd say that if you could not afford both
tools, then you'll get more versatility and angle measurement accuracy
from the Aligner. But, if you can afford both, then you can use the
Tilt Box (or one of the many other versions of the device) for quick,
easy, and accurate vertical angle measurement.

That's a good point. If I needed a precise 22 1/2 degree angle, it
would be more complicated to use TS-Aligner Jr that something that
gave you a direct read-out.

I am very impressed with my TS A Jr. But the one thing it does that is
the most complicated is the one thing the Beall does easiest. So they
compliment each other.
