left tilt TS - safe bevel crosscutting

I've read many posts here about safe ripping and right/left-tilt table
saws. What about cross-cutting a bevel using a clamp on the stock on a
sliding table? Is there a safety issue there with a left-tilt saw when
cutting from the left?

Yes, using the sliding table to cut beveled crosscut on a left tilt saw can
make for a dangerous situation. Especially of you are having short pieces
as waste on the right side of the blade. The small pieces will fall onto
the spinning blade as the cut is complete and the blade will the throw the
pieces. Larger pieces will not go as far.

With most saws, you must choose right tilt to be able to add on a sliding
table.

NOW, if you are talking about a sled, be sure to use the sled on the right
side of the blade when making bevel cuts. That will work out just fine.
