OT: 192 unread posts this morning

GEEZIS - WAY too much crap to wade through. Lessee...

"Go Git Cha Momma" - plonk... 180 left.
"Immigration rules" - plonk... 95 left.
"We the people..." - plonk... 88 left.
"Obama stops oil leak in Gulf. BP staff grateful." - plonk... 60 left.

and since "Shop Wall and Electric" has wandered off in 87 different directions
having little to do with woodworking - plonk... 40 left.

Ok, I guess I can find the time to read through 40 posts in one sitting. Oh,
and special bonus: I don't have to read a single pompous and tiresome rant from
Neil Brooks!

I guess it's hoping for too much for all of the off topic bullshit to
stop - and we get back to posting messages about actual woodworking.

There was a time when this was a vital and active newsgroup and we had
some great content about woodworking. I miss that, and I miss messages
from Keith Bohn, Hank Metz , Doug Stowe, Pat Warner, and others who
always have something real to add. It looks like all of the mindless
crap chased them away.

Happens to the best groups.

Some want control and cry like babies when they don't get it.

I guess they have no woodworking to do or can't see the cutter anymore...LOL

Welcome to the outcasts from the trolling club. Now you have been labelled
in the secret club list, so they would have you believe. Many of these
personalities are all the same person.

Now we could talk woodworking....LOL

Geez Steve, this thread falls in the middle of the thing you are ranting
about. ;~) Why is your OT thread any better than the other OT threads?
LOL

Typically if no one is posting anything pretaining to woodworking some one
will post about something, as you have done here. ;~)

My way of dealing with unread posts is to generally right click and choose
catch up on the group when the unread aproaches 200.

Must of hit us about the same time. Although I have no problem with OT
posts at all, things do tend to get kinda strung out/repetitive after a
while, so I "ignored" all the same threads above in T-Bird this weekend,
plus your buddy above has been bozo-binned for months.

Help... what? Elevate our blood pressure? Your version of the "crusade to

My computer keeps all messages for 2 weeks, but can only see unread ones
unless I want to see the read ones. I let the computer deal with them,
thats what it gets paid to do...

Last night, my reader found 176 posts and fed me only 32 of them,
after filters. (My Plonking Fu is strong.)

I don't care how good someone's posts usually are. If they continue to
talk to the trolls, they're history. Life's too short to suffer fools.

Looks like some live to tell people (and everybody else) they have <plonked>
them. LJ seems to be one of those. In the last few weeks I have witnessed
many ad hominem attacks (plonking included) at random on many people from
this dipshit.

Makes ya wonder who the troll really is.

A troll without being obvious?

Wonder why they have to tell everybody they are doing it?

a) Insecurity?
b) Attention seeking?
c) Grandstands their superiority?

Now ask yourself this? Who really cares about your communication failures?
