I have designed a portable boom box with detachable speakers (for
better sound, a key requirement for me). I am using 1/2" birch
plywood, some 6x9" coaxial speakers I got a deal on. I have a little
tripath amp to power it efficiently. Unit consists of spe/akers,
center electronics section. Q: I'm wondering best way to attach
speakers. I have imagined cleats... morhttp//123maza.com/46/flower246/

Thanks for spam.
I have thought of a couple of ways to do this. Thinking of drilling
angled holes (upwards) and having a dowel peg stick out of the main
unit. The speakers would have a receiver hole, I'd have to double up
the cabinet thickness on that area. At the top, I'd have more awkward
solution...thinking of attaching a piece that would be on top of
speaker and overlap the main case. The main case would have a dowel
peg. Hopefully I could engage both without interference. I also
thought of just using velcro on side and not fooling with the angled
dowel.
I will have pictures soon.
