They'll never split up -- as long as they're married, neither one can be
forced to testify in court against the other.

What never ceases to amaze me is this silliness about this being the worst
president in history. Did we have hostages held in a foreign country while
our president waffled and groveled before the thugs holding them hostage,
seeking to "negotiate" their freedom from a position of weakness? Have we
seen 19% interest rates and double digit inflation rates? Has the
president lectured the country about a deep "malaise" that has come over
the country and lecturing us that it is all *our* fault? While gas prices
have gone up, how many of you have waited in line for hours to get gasoline
or have been forced to buy only on odd or even days?
What silliness! Is this the best president we've ever had? Not by a long
shot. Is he a strong right-wing conservative? Not even close. You would
think that the left would be falling all over themselves as much as he has
bent over backwards and compromised by letting Ted Kennedy write the
education bill, by his pushing for the illegal alien amnesty that the left
has pushed for many years, and many other instances of trying to seek unity
with the left. Instead, they hate him even more. What is absolutely knee
slapping funny is this dichotomy coming from the left, in one breath, Bush
is the most stupid, bumbling idiot that has ever set foot in the oval
office; in the next breath, he is the most conniving, scheming, evil genius
that has done the same. This would be breathtakingly hilarious if it
wasn't so @#$% serious since the left, due to this blind hatred, is doing
its best to secure defeat in this war against the islamofascists. Not only
does this demoralize our troops, it emboldens those who are trying to cause
us harm, furthering their cause, making things more dangerous for those
serving this country (and others who are supporting this fight) and making
things more dangerous for all of us.
A little reality would be a refreshing breath of fresh air.

Seems that its the libs that are screaming about death camps, murder
rooms, secret police, etc. After all, trying to monitor cell phone
conversations from the US to such economic powerhouses such as Afghanistan,
Pakistan, or Iraq *must* be trying to curtail the civil liberties of US
citizens.

I know - the only choices we have for the resident in thief are
pre-picked, pre-approved coin operated tools. I keep hoping for a
nationwide write-in, but it just isn't going to happen when a large
percentage of the population is a by-product of our sterling
educational system, overindulgent parenting, and a narcissistic
society. (i.e. They're self-absorbed morons.)
I had little exposure to politicos until my late twenties, and then
received an overdose. I do not trust 99% of them at this point. The
television spews crap, everyone has a self-serving agenda, and these
days, if their (publicly) beloved Jesus appeared and declared his
intention to run, they would come up with pictures of him at a strip
club, doing cocaine, and shoving his lover down the stairs. Coupled
with a telephone campaign in the south claiming a past history of
raping small animals and his intent to free the slaves. Oh, wait...
As for the preachers, I've been exposed to these charlatans from
childhood. I've caught them chasing my young girlfriends around Bibb
Co., GA, cruising for porn on the Internet, and most are in the
business because they failed at everything else - save lying. There
are a couple I think are genuine, but again, 99% of them deserve to be
shoved in front of a train.
As for Karl (and his sycophants), I can only try to discern what makes
kids go so completely to the Dark Side and avoid doing it to my kids -
assuming I ever find a woman sane enough to gamble having any with...
The system's apparatchik environ explains much of its contempt for the
rule of law and health of society. Someone who has risen through the
ranks of a system that prizes political loyalty above all else isn't
likely to balk at considering manufactured, ex-parte evidence,
bribery, collusion or blatant treachery to disenfranchise ordinary
citizens or suppress potentially damaging investigations of fellow
cronies. As Franklin Foer of The New Republic pointed out, in College
Republican elections, dirty tricks and double crosses are considered
acceptable, even praiseworthy. Thus we see this whole malignant
scenario played out on the national front as well. Stuffing the
Federal District and State Courts, scandals concerning the political
ousting of US Attorneys, voter suppression, fraud, collusion, theft,
lies and deceptions are their hallmark - anything is acceptable in
order to maintain a grasp on power and money.
And there we have defined the modern moral impetus for public office.
At least that's my hard-earned two cents worth.

Ah, Ron Paul and John Nance Garner might do well together, though I
have heard that Garner did not say "spit" when he set the value on the
VP's office.

My main beef with that douche-bag is that she didn't have the common

You're going to have one of them in the White House, and, before all

Politicos are just one group I don't want to associate with; I can't
get around group #2 as easily, preachers. My wife is religious, so we

Well I can understand why a married man caught with hand caught in the
cookie jar might waffle a bit in that situation. I'm not saying he
handled it well but I understand. Wasn't it soon after this that
Chirac's wife and mistress both attended his funeral? We're a bit more

Not just bloggers, but those who respond to them. Jesus, it's a wonder
the country has survived thus far, given the lower than modest level
of thought and paucity of sense in almost all the responses, including
those I agree with (I think: the writing ain't any too clear either).

Name a national level politician who isn't. Al Sharpton, maybe? Rudy

We've got close to evil in the White House now; it is going to take a

I've always thought the same. The thing that bugged me though was his

He's probably proud of her. If your wife had a good chance of
becoming President wouldn't you be? Anything he needs to prove he's
proven. For 8 years he was the alpha-est alpha male in the whole
bloody _world_ and that ended when and how he expected it to, by a
legally mandated term limit and not by a defeat.
Besides with her busy being President and him not having to worry
about things like that he gets time for some _serious_ crumpet
collecting, with all the props.

Carter? Carter's big problem was that he _wasn't_ tricky or a liar.
In that office you have to be to be effective and he wasn't.

Wonder if Black Jack Pershing has any offspring that are true to type?

To my way of thinking, the most telling "nothing of note" that she's
not done is kicking slick willie's ass out the door a long time ago.

You're going to be "waiting" for a long time. What he says makes too much
sense ... the media will never allow it to happen.
Once again, anyone wanting to make a REAL difference, go to:
