In Jim Tolpins "The Toolbox Book" there are several examples of
toolboxes, a lot of them from the North Bennett Street School, that have
doors/lids that flip back and store in the carcass. Much like the
flipper door hinges but apparently without the use of them. Is there an
actual name for this and is there a reference available that discusses
how to build them? I have some ideas how to do it but I'd rather not
re-invent the wheel and end up with doors that bind in the process.
Thanks!
