In researching trolls, and what can be done about them, I came across

It gives good insights into the thoughts, methods, and goals of a
troll attack. (such as is currently happening on rec.ww)
I am just as disgusted as the rest of you. I've been reading "the
wreck" for several years now (lurking more often than not) and you
know what -
I'm not giving it up without a fight. I _like_ the wreck. I smile
when I see familiar names posting. I've laughed out loud at the CSF*
remarks. I have wasted more time than I care to admit at work
reading....just to read!

There's good stuff here. There are good people here. I've learned
much here.
Is the wreck my life? Certianly not! But I don't intend to give up.
I'll keep coming, filtering out the crap as necessary. Yeah, it's a
pain. However, in 3 months...in 6 months...what's going to be left?

newsgroup or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our
woodworkers beyond the net, armed and guarded by the Fleet of Dewalt,
Porter Cable and Lie Nielsen, would carry on the struggle, until, in
God's good time, the New Wreck, with all its power and might, steps
forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old.
We will never surrender!
