It's a good little router/laminate trimmer and in one incarnation,
comes with a tiltable base--I think there is, or will be, an offset
base, too.
Powerful, easily handled with one hand.
I picked up one of the PR20EVSK Bosch "Colt" variable speed palm
routers near the end of June.
My first impressions:
Fits the palm very well. Very comfortable to hold.
The quick adjustment is very well implimented and smooth. Just rotate
the body slightly and push up and down in the base.
Fine adjust was sticky and very hard to move at first. The demo unit
that a Bosch factory rep had at the dealer where I bought the router
had one that was sticky also. For some reason it loosened up and is
working well now. Maybe it needed the lub to work into the guides.
The clamp is quick, positive and easy to use
You don't have the "tilting" of the base during adjustment that you
have with many of the trim routers (which was one of my big interests).
It is very light. In fact, I think it is lighter than my Dewalt trim
router.
It has a nice soft startup and speed control
At full speed, it has some amount of vibration--more than the Dewalt
trim router. I don't know what the shaft TIR is, so I don't know if it
is armature balance or shaft eccentricity.
The collet grips the router bits pretty hard even when fully loosened.
I wonder why. My Milwaukee "body grip" has that problem also.
I would be interested in other people's observations on the vibration
of the unit.
It cannot take Porter Cable guide bushings because the opening is too
wide (good, but bad depending on whether you are focused on ease of
seeing the work or are more interested in using guide bushings).
The case that it came in is not as rugged or as nice as the Dewalt
cases.
It comes with an edge guide (which should be nice), wrench and
instruction manual which is pretty decent. The price I paid was retail
($119).
Again, the 2 concerns I have are vibration and the tenacious grip of
the collet and I would like anyone elses experience with these
concerns.

Figures... I just bought a couple Ridgid laminate trimmers and think
they're superb.
The guides are much nicer than what I see on the Bosch, and the base
holds PC style bushings as well. Variable speed is free.
Time will tell.
