Maybe it is one of those virtual holidays. Celebrated in minds and on the
net.
After all, is there really a Canada Day? Would they let those folks have a
holiday? Would it be legal? Would it be allowed in a socialist, nanny
state? Maybe Robatoy is fantasizing here. Would Angela allow him to
indulge himself that much? ;-)

Not particularly. Was this in or near Winnipeg?

I do have family there. My cousin (2nd or 3rd cousin, I think) Dave
Balderstone is in the Manchester area.
Of course, there's the village of Balderstone in Lancashire, and
Balderstone College...

As a Canadian I have to say that the "Human Rights" industry in this
country has gone absolutely insane.
I'm seriously considering protesting outside a "Human Rights
Commission" office with a sign that says "FUCK:"...
with a list of every possible ethnic and special interest group,
including fat old white men, and let the bloody complaints fly.
It's bloody nonsense.

23:50.

We're Canadians. The Canada Day beer starts July 2nd... for July 1,
2010.

Nothing to do with any human rights organization, just a few whiners
at an online forum.
Why the National post would turn that into a news story I don't know.
It would be like the New York Times (or Faux News for those on the
right) would publish a story about some postings about a retailer on
the wreck.

#1) Thanks - right back at ya Rob
#2) Beer and Mike's Hard is already bought and cooling.
#3) Wood, screws and glue is ready. If I don't think about it too hard I
may play at being a wood butcher tomorrow ( call me 'stubby).

That's to be expected when you start early on the celebratory beer.

That 'Mike's Hard' thing is OH-So-British..LOL But that is us,
Canadians. We still have the Queen on our coins and we are
Commonwealth in many ways. That means we are still one of the most
global of all communities. My passport gets me into more countries
than any other on the planet.........with the exception of entry into
the USA, which has to make us go through the most humiliating
processes, not unlike those of the Third Reich back in 1938.
Just saying.....
Live Free Or Die.

It is part of our early warning system to buy beer.

Some regard Canada as America's attic - the place you keep your crazy aunt.

I went to school with a lad called Balderstone. You and he are the only people
I've ever come across with that name. Does BGS mean anything to you (or your Dad)?
