DoD Identifies Army Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was
supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Sgt. 1st Class Lance S. Cornett, 33, of London, Ky., died in the
vicinity of Ar Ramadi, Iraq, on Feb. 3, of injuries sustained earlier that
day while engaging enemy forces. Cornett was assigned to the U.S. Army
Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg, N.C.
