Mag review of Lathes between $400 - $600

I remember seeing recently (past 12 issues I think) in one of my wood
magazines a review of lathes in the $500 range, mayhbe a little more.
Anyone else see this or know of a wood magazine that does have a review
of lathes? I am looking into getting a lathe.

TIA,
Karl

Hello, Karl.

Go here and do a brief search to get all you can imagine on this
subject.

rec.crafts.woodturning

It's another NG similar to this one but centering around turning.

In that price range, not much. All the Midi-Lathes and Mini-Lathes, a
couple from Grizzly and a couple from Harbor Freight. I'd go with the
Jet Midi or one of the Grizzly lathes
