Hi,
I'm having trouble with my Rotozip Rebel. I used to have the Revolution model,
but that one was giving me headaches up the wazoo. Now, the Rebel is pissing me
off more than ever. It seems the pinion gear always gets its spokes snipped
off, resulting in me having to request another bit, a waste of $5. I love the
tool when it works, but still.....
This is maybe the 13th time I've had to stop working on projects due to a poor
Rotozip design flaw. Very annoying. Anybody else have the same difficulties?
-Joel
I had a different problem with my Revolution. Since it was out of warranty (natch)
I fixed it myself. The problem was that it made a high pitched squeal. I took it
apart and found that the nylon fan that cools the unit had slipped out of place so
that it rubbed against the housing. I little gentle persuasion and some crazy glue
fixed it right up. I've used it a lot since then and there hasn't been any further
problemos.
