DoD Identifies Army Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was
supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Pfc. Adam R. Shepherd, 21, of Somerville, Ohio, died in Baghdad, Iraq, on
Jan. 17 from a non-combat-related illness. Shepherd was assigned to the
Army's 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team,
101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Ky.
The incident is under investigation
