Im getting ready to make a full size poker table.
I have to the top figured out - and I really like the looks of these legs :

But Im not sure the best way to do them.
Any suggestions?
What im thinking right now is a top and bottom in a 1/2 circle shape.
With vertical supports about every 4 inches around the 1/2 circle.
But im not sure how to do the outside of it.
Thanks

Rob,
Build a skeleton as you described. Then a first layer 1/8 bending poplar,
then add a second layer, offsetting any seems. Add the veneer of your
choice. The best method of adding the veneer is a vacuum bag type press.
If you do a Google Search of the key phrases, you will get all of the info
you need.

I would think kerfed plywood would work, if you can't find any of
the bendy, or it's too pricey.
Poker tables take up considerable room. You might want to consider
making a lift off top for it, so you can use it as a regular table, when
you're not playing.
This one still brings a smile. Friend of mine was getting ready to
rotate out of Bangkok. So, he wanted a poker table, and top, like I
described, so he wouldn't have to get a dining table also. The idea was
dining room table all week, then set the top aside on a night or two on
the weekends, and play poker.
Well, it only cost him I think about $75 US, all solid teak - it
was Tailand remember, that's the local version of pine. Only one minor
problem. The carpenters had made him a really lovely table, I mean
besides the wood. However, they had made the removable top part, the
poker table part. So, anytime he wasn't set up for a poker table, he
had to take the top off and stash it somewhere, so he'd have a dining
room table. Picture a regular dining room table, with a poker table top
in the middle, with the ends of the dining room table sticking out on
each end. Workmanship was really beautiful, except for that. We only
kidded him a little bit. Somehow he got assigned back a bit later, and
told us he'd sold the table. Can't understand why. LMAO
If you do the removable top thing, you mught want to double check
which top you make as removable.

My brother works at a cardboard box
plant ane the cutting dies they use
are mounted on birch plywood in
roughly the same radius as what
would work on your table. For blanks
you might call:
Plywood and Door Mfrs.( 708)-594-
5530.
I used to get aircraft plywood scraps
there and I think I saw some radius
pieces laying around. (They had
some gorgeous like 30-ply rock
maple stuff laying around also.)

Looks like a candidate for bendy plywood, or even veneered bendy MDF.
