Just wanted to share this very recent experience with an Amazon
purchase:
2/24/07 - Placed an order for TurboCADv12, price: $79.99 (free
shipping).
2/27/07 05:30 - Noticed price dropped to $73.99 (still free shipping).
2/27/07 05:31 - sent an email to CS via the "Contact Us" link on their
website politely suggesting they credit me the difference.
2/27/07 13:11 - received and email from Amazon CS stating "The
discounts we offer for items on our web site do vary from time
to time. I've checked your order, and found that we recently offered
a greater discount on item " TurboCAD Deluxe v12 " than at the time
you placed your order. Since this item was shipped so recently, I have
requested a refund of $6.00 to your credit card. This amount reflects
the difference between the price you were charged and the discounted
price. The refund should be processed in the next few days and will
appear as a credit on your next billing statement.
Say what you will about Amazon's funky price excursions--this, to me is
good CS.
No affiliation w/ Amazon, just pleased something went my way for a
change.
