I have trouble figuring out the specifications of plywood. Need 1/2 "
Exterior grade, sanded one side. What lettering designates this type of
plywood?

You want either A/C or B/C exterior grade. A/C seems
to be harder to find these days. Most of the home centers
seem to have B/C as their "best" grade of exterior.
