DoD Identifies Army Casualties
The Department of Defense announced today the death of two
soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. They died in Al
Husayniyah, Iraq on Feb. 5, when an improvised explosive device detonated
near their Stryker Engineer Squad Vehicle. Both soldiers were assigned to
the 562nd Engineer Company, 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, Fort
Wainwright, Alaska.
Killed were:
Staff Sgt. Christopher R. Morningstar, 27, of San Antonio,
Texas.
Sgt. Jeremiah J. Boehmer, 22, of Parkston, S.D.
