I really need to saw logs in order to be able to build next summer but my
logs are frozen. I sawed several today and they seemed to do OK. I worry
about blade wear how the wood will shrink from the frozen size. Is there a
good sawmill forum? We have a few above freezing days forcast for this week
but I doubt that the logs will thaw much. An informed help appreciated.

Wood doesn't care if it's frozen.
Check out......
http://www.woodweb.com/SiteMap.html forums
and
http://www.forestryforum.com/board/ .
Some of the portable sawmill manufacturers like
http://www.norwoodindustries.com/
have forums as well.
Good luck.

If you are going to plane the lumber , it probably doesn't
matter, if not , bandsawing sawing frozen logs can produce less
accurate dimensions and more inconsistencies in dimensions, at least
from portable bandsaw mills, otherwise go ahead.
