Thanks for the advice on painting technique

This is just a short note to say thanks for the various people that have
given advice on finishing techniques.

I have always gotten miserable results with a brush. (I am semi competent
with wipe on for oil or poly and okay with a roller for paint. I have
not yet tried spraying except from a can - with miserable results.)

I just repainted my front door using a brush. Thanks to various suggestions
from here I actually got decent results. Which really amazes me.

A special thanks to nailshooter for the several opuses from him on the topic.
Also to Leon especially for the simple advice to put the paint on and then
to tip it out then then to NOT TOUCH it again. Any problems can be fixed
on the next coat.

Once again thanks.

Dan

Both of whom practice what they preach, know their stuff, and best of all,
share it.
