If the Chinese cannot undercut US manufacturers with equal quality then
perhaps they should not be selling in the US. And why are you allowing
the export of Chinese plywood that is not "certified" to begin with?

Is plywood made by "Chinese big factories" marked in any manner to
indicate that it is made by "Chinese big factories"? If so please
provide a list of the markings with photographs showing their actual
appearance. And why are you letting crap plywood be exported if you can
make a quality product?

How about you mark it in accordance with APA standards and make sure it
actually _meets_ those standards?

So the local lumber yard is supposed to start importing plywood directly
now?
How about you people establish some standards for your industry and
enforce those standards? Worked for Japan.

You say that now. --- Will you be able to say that later?
I just read "Poorly Made in China" by Paul Midler
(ISBN978-0-470-40588-1) and he says among other things that the Chinese
manufacturers make a good product at the outset to get your business and
then degrade the quality of the product once they have you hooked.

Ah, so you're the purveyor of the crap that my local hardwood supply place
can't say enough bad things about? They've had countless customer complaints
about warping and de-lamination of Chinese plywood (I've experienced it
myself), but this junk is flooding the market and it's getting harder and
harder for them to find a good quality product. So if you're something other
than just a bottom feeding spammer, why don't you stick around and explain to
us how your product isn't the poor-quality firewood of which I speak?

I think what you mean is that "the face/back veneers are thin" .
Maybe you have met this problem .
But the face/back veneers of our plywood are thick (the thickness can be
guaranteed according to customers' requirement) .

I'm sorry to hear that your had a bad experience in Chinese plywood .
Now I explain the market situation which may be useful:
1. If you buy Chinese plywood, choose certified Chinese plywood, or buy
plywood from certified suppliers (ISO,CARB,CE...);
2. Note that: The Chinese plywood market is a competitive market ! Nobody
can buy very high quality plywood at very low price . If the prices are very

4. Before your buying plywood, confirm with sellers whether the quality can
meet your requirement . For example, don't use non-structural plywood for
structural purpose; don't use interior plywood for exterior applications...
If you found the plywood is poor-quality, suggest your supplier import
higher quality plywood from big suppliers.

Pffft. A minor problem. Allergic reactions to the toxic glues they use is a
much bigger concern.

I would be careful of these Chinese projects. I have had trouble with
the veneer ply taking a finish evenly because of glue bleeding through
the super thin veneer.
