I am about to purchase either a multi-router or a matchmaker. Does anyone
have experince on either of these units? I am a custom furniture maker and
will be giving which ever one I buy a good work out. - How accurite are
they - how easy to set up - how well made.
If I can save some money on the matchmaker that would be great - but if the
multi-router is worth the extra costs I will buy it.
thanks,

I just about loaded my pants when I saw the price of a
Multi-Router. Have you looked at the Leigh FMT jigs?
The look of the Multi vs. the Match is night and day.
The multi is MUCH cleaner, heavier-duty, and better
templated. Cast iron vs. aluminum and about 100 lbs
is the first difference I see. The Match looks to be
damageable by a shorttubafore (what are those horizontal
slider bars, 3/8"?) while it may take a telephone pole
to bend the Multi.
At your high level of work, I'd think you'd automatically
opt for the Multi-Router, even though it is way, way
overpriced, IMHO. Give David Marks a call and ask how he
likes his. (You just might pull that off.)
P.S: Congrats on the book deal. I'll be wanting a signed
copy when it comes out next year.
