As we are finding out now from numerous Iraqi documents and tapes of
Saddam and interviews with Saddams Generals, it turns out that
everything Bush said was actually true about Saddams planned amassing of
WMD and also about hiding them.

"lesser warriors" ??? I was a lifer, both Navy and Army and damn proud
of it. That said, the NG and Reserves do not go to war with "old crap",
they receive or inherit all the same equipment that the troops are
presently using in theatre. In addition, they go through extensive
training on that equipment and on all appropriate phases of warfighting
before deploying.

While you may not understand the concept of *mobility*, the troops have
sets of orders that detail what kind of equipment they are issued for
the type of mission the are on. And after spending years in "APC's", I'd
take the safer and better armored Humvee's any day. M113's are death
traps and are made from aluminum that will not stop a rifle bullet. In
addition, they have a great big gas tank right there inside the crew
compartment alongside the wall.

What most people do not yet understand is that most armor for vehicles
is relatively new, and the manufacturers are working full time to
fulfill the military's orders. The armor is being shipped and installed
as fast as they get it. It is not a matter of money.

me to VA Hospitals and doing Patient Care Analysis. My first VA Hospital was
Baltimore Md. When I drove up this old brick building, with 40 -50 guys
standing out in the cold, all within my age group mostly Vietnam Vets and
some Korean happened to be all junkies. Inside what a smell, it'd floor ya!
It was piss and shit! Most civilian hospitals maintain a nurse to patient
ration in most cases 4 - 7 patients to every nurse. Here you were looking at
16+ to every nurse. Now these guy's just weren't in for gallbladders or
corrective surgery, they've been lying in these beds since WWII, Korea and
Vietnam. bedsores, urine & feces stained mattresses and just a few miles
away Congressmen and Senators who at most risked nothing in their silver
spooned lives, live and get sick in the greatest of luxury, and then cut the
VA budgets like it was candy to be divided amongst themselves.

Some Hospitals are better but many are worse.

Your Government isn't showing any Honor or Respect for these guy's coming
home. It even hides the facts!

I don't believe that saying "you annoy me just like JW's do" would be
covered there... JMHO.

Disclaimer: I've got sympathies for the message mr. number is pushing
out onto the NG... the recent change to describing what the soldiers are
experiencing is news you don't hear or see on The News was proper to his
goals of rounding out ppls knowledge of Iraq. Mr. number is also
critical of the decision to focus on Iraq over Afghanistan, and I think
that's been absent from The News for too long. Finally, because it's
never cut and dry, I don't like that it's cluttering up the posts in the
NG and I don't think Mr. numbers offensive and reactionary combativeness
adds anything to (hope for) discussion, and pretty much wish he'd quit
sabotaging his own message with dribbling spew and go away until he can
learn a little focus.
