Oh, that's right... I know how to use a killfile.

Try it, you'll like it. But you may have to change news clients. I seem
to recall that Unison sucks at filtering.

A few deft strokes of the "block sender" made it go away, but didn't
report the garbage to it's source.

The NNTPs do not care. If they filter at all they become involved.
Three killfilters cleaned them all out for me. 6 mouse clicks.
