Nomination - Ross for Hammer of Thor

The Hammer of Thor -

"The Hammer of Thor was originally created by the sponsor of LART.COM
for the purposes of officially recognizing the one on the net who did a
better @$$-kicking than anyone else has @$$-kicked on the net in a
given month. This award is now bestowed in recognition of lifetime
kookological achievement."

While I was Googling for links as I created the Kook Kard Deck page,
one author's name kept popping up in thread after thread after thread.
Ross has a fierce, intelligent style of laying into a kook - especially
the terminally clueless types like Davie Tholen and Vito Kuhn.

Now a lifetime kookological achievement award, so I don't think I need
to show recent evidence, but I will anyway.

In May, Ross engaged Vito Kuhn in a nice little theological debate.
Vito was left with his foot in his mouth, and without a word to say.
Ross' last response on May 27 [1], is still unanswered to this day.
Sure, this happens from time to time. A week or so later, in June,
Ross reminded Vito that he still hadn't responded to this very
articulate poast. Vito came back with this [2]. Another reminder by
Ross [3]. Now, five weeks later, still, no response from Vito.

Spnak on Frito. This is only one example. Check out Ross' recent
exchanges with Tholen and other kooks for more.

I hereby nominate Ross for the Hammer of Thor.

Seconds, anyone?

It's not a matter of having the last word, oh clueless,
censorius, Kuntroll freak. Ross spnaked you like you
were a kid in K-mart. And then you ran away.

Poor Frito. Can't even handle it when someone uses the
words "ass" or "crap". Tell us, did Samson kill those
Philistines with the jawbone of an *ss? LOL!

Now, go ahead and declare 'victory' and run away again,
like a good little hate-driven Kuhntroll freak. Don't
you have a domain that 'needs' your censroing services,
pseudo-christian?

Gee, Bruce, what is it about kooks that renders them incapable of

Amazing! This one is slightly more coherent than Dickless Davie, Bruce.

yep, vito is a self righteous idiot. personally I'd just as soon he
went away- he doesn't contribute anything worthwhile here, and he
attracts trolls like flies to shit. really though guys, mostly he seems
to lurk these days, except to post to these slightly entertaining, off
topic as hell threads. where's the sport in that? seems like if you
have to troll to flush him out it's cheating- kind of like falsifying
WMD data to justify a war of personal vendetta.

so vito, please either step up like a man and engage the kooks in their
kook threads in their kook groups and spare us innocent woodworkers or
else stay in lurk mode. if you ignore them they will go away,
eventually.

so sean et al, please lure frito on over to your neighborhood somehow
where you can pick his bones in peace, eh?

OTOH, in my neck of the woods large parts of the Bay do not. The
culprit here is primarily simple turbidity (cloudy water).

The politicians here are all fond of the motto "Save the Bay" but
the motto they practice seems to be "Asphalt the Earth".

You'll get no argument from me, Bruce. Only Ross and the alleged Joe

Let me get this straight. You "NOMINATED" the alt.usenet.kooks vote taker
for a praise "AWARD" based on a conversation he had with me in May, just
because you think he had the last word? Now I've seen everything. If I go
back and look at my posting history in Google dot com I could probably
find dozens of cases where I had the last word and you don't see me
banging my chest over it. It is very sad to see how easily impressed you
people are.

I've been on this newsgroup for ten years, and can tell you with
certainty that Vito Kuhn is NOT a contributor to rec.woodworking.
Someone crossposted here about him some time ago and like most folk
myths the story has refused to die.

Please keep these personal attacks out of rec.woodworking.
And yes, this is crossposted, because I (we) have no way of knowing
which other of these groups is infested by Vito and his cohorts.

Will you take this crap off the woodworking group? Not one person who
posts on these threads is from the group.

Bullshit. I've never seen a post from Vito Kuhn in the months I have
been here that wasn't in relation to crossposts from a flame group.
This is just the kind of thing that has utterly destroyed Usenet. It's
sad to see it go too, because with the Google archive it is an
incredibly useful source of information. 90% of discussions have moved
to web based forums in nearly every category of interest I have
experience with. People go there because they know that these juvenile
flame wars are sent to the crapper where they belong. Moderated Usenet
forums don't work, so it has to be an honor system. When honor is gone,
then all that will remain are seedy, degenerate piracy, pornography and
flame groups and given the high cost of maintaining Usenet servers, one
day ISP's will pull the plug on the brain dead vegetable it has become.
Maybe it will be a good riddance when it finally happens and people like
you won't have the power to annoy that you do now.

Yet here you are contributing your own widdle fwame to the fire, oh

...right....

In your typically arrogant style, you claim a number of possible victories.

You are a hypocritical, disingenuous and cowardly kook, Vito, who hasn't
begun to realize your depths of hypocricy, dishonesty and cowardice.

You disagree? Then answer the points in <http://snipurl.com/fxfv>.

Dearest Chadwick,

Is it actually neccessary for you to crosspost your nonsense into
groups that have no stake in the colloquy?

Further, doesn't it make you feel small to challenge a man who is so
obviously challenged - on multiple levels.

You have already passed the point of verging on cruelty, and you
should be ashamed.

At the very least, it would be appreciated, if you would keep Kookish
things unto the Kooks, themselves.

We are simple WoodDorkers, who would have no truck with Kooks, nor

Brilliant, what a new and insightful tactic. Tell them to go away and
with a wave of your fingers upon a keyboard people will do as you say.
I am wondering why no one has ever conceptualized such a idea and
packaged it in this manner. The sheer simplicity of the idea indicates
a mind of subtle impotence and stupidity. Such a mind will be unable
to actually operate a fucking killfile let alone a proper news reader
so the plan of whine at them will always be number one.

3. Anyone know a good cabinet maker in the Bay Area (CA) that can

Perhaps when you reply to these messages you should remove rec.woodworking
from the send-to list. That way if anyone from the other groups reply or a
thread is continued from your message, it won't be appear hear.

It should be noted that the original post in this thread was crossposted
to four groups. My intention was to inform the poster and his
respondents that rec.woodworking is out of bounds because Vito Kuhn does
not live here at rec.woodworking.

How do you mistake "constituents' (i.e. voters) for 'developers',
who may or may not have a professional relationship with a
necesaty number of local politicians?

Or can you, contrariwise, produce in your locality a dominant number
of voters who would prefer to walk to work (regardless of distance)
rather than drive their status-mobiles? LOL!

I suggest that in your locality people vote for that which immdiately
benefits them, in short, good roads. Your hatred of your fellow man
is obvious, but your lack of understnading of him is also obvious.

How sad.
