FS: 8" Jointer - SF Bay Area

I am in the process of finishing the restoration of an 8" American brand
jointer. It was built 1925 - 1930. It was originally a Babbitt bearing
machine that was converted to ball bearing. It is a wedge bed style jointer
with tables that slide on ways in order to provide easy access to the
cutting head. It is a three legged machine. Here are the stats:

Overall length: 7 feet

Cutting Head: 8" with three wedge held blades

In feed table: 13" x 47"

Out feed table: 16" x 33" including a 3" rabbet

Motor: 1 1/2 horsepower 110/220 motor

Fence: 4 3/4" x 56"

Out feed adjustment wheel: 8" diameter

In feed adjustment wheel: rear [opposite the operator] mounted 16" diameter

Weight: 1200 pounds [estimate]

I put a Starrett 36" straight edge on the tables and they appear to be dead
flat. The fence has a slight bow end to end. I will probably have it
Blanchard ground flat. The entire machine was sand blasted, primed and then
painted black. Email me at jgtratcomcast.net [replace "at" with @] for more
information and pictures.
