It will help you to hedge against unforeseen activities like
earthquakes, accidents, landslides and losses in business etc. After
such disasters you can claim the insurance and get coverage. The
insurance company will bear your losses. There are several kinds of
insurances like health, auto, life etc. Different companies offer
different kinds of insurances.http://information4insurance.blogspot.in

Sure, it is a risk. So do the same thing you would do with other car
parts, replace it. You buy tires when they wear down, you buy spark
plugs when they don't fire. Buy a friggen windshield when you can't
see through it. Couple of hundred bucks and it is like driving a new
car again. Cheaper than a brake job.
You can always fix it with a hammer, but that is fraud.

Try this one on for size: An extended warranty on a laptop battery. When
it dies, they'll replace it "free"! The cost? Only $10 less than a new
one.

Plus... shipping and handling! Truely a great deal, eh? But - you can buy
it now on the web...

Agreed, maintenance is your problem not theirs.
If you can't see it as a risk to yourself or others, maybe you shouldn't
be driving.

When I worked for the body shop, they called that first company Snake
Farm Insurance.

45 years ago had State Farm auto insurance. Full coverage. After a few
years the windshield was pitted so bad it was difficult to see through at
night with glare from oncoming headlights. Checked with company. They
would not change it. Same era a friend had same insurance. His windshield
was separating from the safety plastic in between the layers of glass.
Large yellow area was hard to see through. Company would not change it. Of
course we both went to a different insurance company. Just for grins I
checked with agent of that company yesterday. Unless the glass is cracked or
broken they will not change it no matter how hard it is to see clearly
through it. The company I moved to bends over backwards to take care of
claims to customer satisfaction. WW

GM has always been forward-looking. <kaff>
I wouldn't own one if it were -given- to me.

And YOU will pay a heck of a lot less than the insurance co. If you
have $250 deductible, the average difference in cost for YOU is less
than $150, while the insurance company pays about $400 and you still
get dinged for the deductible.
On my '95 TransSport the insurance cost was something like $739, and
the cash price was just under $350, installed, plus tax. (about 7?
years ago)

Why should they change it? Do they pay for your oil changes and
tires? Windshield pitting is a fact of car life and normal wear and
tear. Read the policy and you'll find it covers damage from
vandalism, rocks, etc.

State Farm was pretty bad, MIC seemed to be the worst. Motors Insurance
Company owned by GM and sold to new car customers would rebuild a
covered part, fender, bumper reinforcement.etc..if it could done for
$199.99 instead of replacing with new at $200. Wasting the customers
time was not a factor if it meant saving a penny.
