The foolish steel melting argument is a good example of the total
fallacy behind these conspiracy arguments. That nonsense has been
spouted freely by the conspiracy theorists and their Hollywood
celebrity friends. It has been easily dismissed by anyone familiar
with the material properties of steel. Steel doesn't have to melt
to lose it's ability to support a load. Anyone watching a blacksmith
on TV bang out a piece of metal or seeing other common everyday
materials like plastic become softer as they are heated should know
this. The steel used in the WTC loses half of it's strength around
1100 degrees and it's ability to support anything significant is gone
at 1700. Those temps are within the range of temps reached in the
fires.
Having this glaring total falsehood so easily demolished would make
any reasonable person question the motives and what the conspiracy
crowd is really all about. But then people who choose to believe
this nonsense aren't reasonable.

According to the film maker that shot some of the video used in 9/11
Mysteries, the audio on his film has been faked to include the sounds
of explosions. If explosions heard 2 miles away were real, about a
million people in Manhattan and Brooklyn would have also heard them
and it would have been caught on the countless video cameras in use
when the towers fell. It wasn't.

Rick Siegel, the person that shot video of the WTC collapse
from Hoboken, 2 miles away, shows his original video and
compares it to the the versions used in two "Truth Movement"
conspiracy videos; "9/11 Eyewitness" by James Brewster and
"9/11 Mysteries" by Sophia Shafquat.
Siegel shows that the "explosions" heard on 9/11 Mysteries and
9/11 Eyewitness are, in fact, not on his the original tape.

Brewster & Shafquat claim the sounds are evidence of man-made
explosives at WTC. Someone manipulated the sound track to make
those noises.
Of the dozens of video tapes we have from WTC on 9/11, there are
no recordings that show explosions that sound like man-made
blasts and are loud enough and timed to be consistent with any
building collapse. The 1993 bombing, equal to 1,000 bounds of TNT
and loud enough to be heard throughout the WTC complex and for
blocks around, was not large enough to do any structural damage to
the WTC tower it was under.
WTC on 9/11 was probably the most-witnessed disaster in history.

I don't think anyone on a metalworking site will buy the bullshit. we
all know that steel will not MELT in a simple fire. It will however
lose a large part of it's strength. I simple property of steel that
was known for years to blacksmiths.
