I'm trying to find a supplier of Titebond II glue in gallons.
I can't find a single supplier.
I can't afford Lee Valley's prices and the stuff is only $20 US a gal at
Rockler.
Google is getting worse all the time for Canada.
Even when you pick Canada only you still get all American hits.
Anyone know of a Canadian company that sells the stuff in quantity?

You don't know an imperial gallon and you call yourself a Canadian? For
shame!
1 Imperial gallon = 4.54609188 liters
1 US gallon = 3.7854118 liters
For more conversions, DAGS....

I can't help you but I understand your plight. I would have thought
"michigan trailer sales" would have pointed me to a place in michigan
but, no, I get a place in arizona.
Just for grins, I am going to look for a few sites to see if I can
google a bit better than you
http://www.google.com/search?q=titebond+canada+.ca&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&start=10&sa=N
That wasn't really great. Searched on titebond canada and the .ca in
many internet addresses. My other attempts were worse.
I wish you well,
Wes

Franklin's (the maker of Titebond) web site recommends calling them
1-800-877-4583 or emailing them at
mailto:[email protected]
to find retailers outside of the USA.

Hi Eric,
As the owner of a small company who has spent time and money on trying to get
listed on goggle I can say you do not know what you are talking about. We showed
up #1 on MSN because we paid them but no show on Goggle. JG

Actually there are 128 US ounces per US gallon and 160 Canadian ounces per
Imperial (Canadian) gallon -- this is why the conversion to metric can make
sense.
Don't blame Google! While Canadians are among the highest internet users per
capita, many Canadian businesses are pathetically slow at having an on-line
presence. When many do, they display a one page ad similar to a business
card which gives very little information. Google cannot find what the
website does not have, if there is a website to find.
I too, am frustrated by this fact. Some Canadian businesses have great
websites, including by favourite local restaurant. Others, small and big
businesses, completely ignore the internet.

Google has decided that being rich is more important than being useful. It
no longer represents an honest search engine, since those that pay are
shown before those that are relevant.

From Google

Titebond in Canadian dollars ($25.00 gal) from London Ontario.
It doesnt mention Titebond II or III. Perhaps a phone call would be in

Yep. a bit pricy.
I wish Lee Valley would at least stock the quarts. that seems to be the size
where the price breaks.
I actually buy the handy 8oz bottles for most small work but I have a major
outdoor project that will probably use at least a gal of the stuff.
Hi Wayne -
Liquids are tough to ship mail order... larger sizes just cost that much
more, and there are limits to what (volume) can be shipped in a parcel, in a
single container.
Then there's the whole question of freezing...
I just reviewed our cost on the titebond, and there's not much margin
there....
Can't always sell everything for less by mail!
Cheers -

What is an imperial gallon? We are using the metric system in Canada with
litres-just to further confuse things.

I'm pretty sure my brother in law paid about $25 inc tax at Home Depot in
Barrie, Ont a couple of years back, not a Canadian company I know but I
guess we have to admit defeat to the Borg.....I pride myself on having never
spent even one cent there as yet but that is because I was a manager of a
Home Hardware Building Centre for 10 Years & can still get very good pricing
as an ex-employee in good standing. LOL.
Most Home Hardwares will also order you a 1 gal jug if they don't carry it
in stock as long as you speak to the right person.

We have to carry some uneconomic products in order to complete the line, as

I understand this Rob.
The quart would be nice though.
I checked pricing around the net and it seems to be the best deal.
8oz = approx $5 63cents oz
16oz = approx $9 56cents oz
32oz = approx $13 41cents oz
Titebond's wholesale/retail sweet spot appears to be the quart.

Lee Valley has Titebond II at C$9.50 for 16oz. That's C$19.00 for 32oz

This is a problem. Google allows those that pay to bump those that
should be at the top based on other criteria. One of my web pages used
to be at the top when searched with the appropriate keywords. Now
there are only commercial interests at the top selling products
