Book Finished - Watch For "Hard Knowledge" At A Bookstore Near You.

A number of kind folks on this NG have suggested that I should write a
book.

Well, the secret is that I already was. (total tensive breakdown)

I finished the third re-write of "Hard Knowledge" today at 6:57 PM
EST.

I had already submitted first chapters to three publishing houses and
gotten moderately favorable responses from two out of the three.

The only one that wanted to put up any money was a subset of Simon and
Schuster, who used to publish one of my favorite authors.

I haven't taken the money yet and the book is done.

Let's see what they think about the whole slammajamma.

I'd like to hang with the House Of Hemingway but I'm hanging with a
guy who thinks that we should go to auction.

Ooo-Lah-Lah !!!

The book doesn't have a damned thing to do with wooddorking but I do
and so wanted to spill my guts to the NG that I have spent so much
time on.

I am now moderately drunk, having had two full glasses of champagne.

My intention is to go to a bar/restaurant that I know and get
completely wrecked.

Yes, my wife will be driving.

Good Night and Gosh Bless.

Congratulations! Many years ago I was co-author on a book, so I know
the pain.

I don't drink, but I can sure identify with the urge when you put the
final copy to bed!

Congratulations.

A close friend of mine is an author so I have more than an idea how damn
hard finishing a book that can be.

Let me know when I can catch you on TV when you're doing your book promo
tour.

Tom, what is the book about, exactly?

And, what kind of woodworking do you do? Neander classic or
machines, both? Cabinets and boxes? Chairs?

Do you have a website?

How does that work?

"...on which I've spent so much time."? <chortle>

Are those like the 16oz bubble glasses I got out when I was 16 and
my parents said we could have ONE glass at midnight on NYE? I've long
rued the day I drank the half pint of stashed bourbon and guzzled a
pint of Napa Sonoma Mendocino wine on top of it. /s Ex-Drunk.
