arbor bushing

I'm hoping someone can help me find a source of bushings to reduce
5/8" arbor saw blades down to 1/2". I'm told they exist, but haven't
been able to find any evidence of them.

Any good online catalogs out there?

I've found them in all the usual suspect places in the past - the BORGs, ACE
Hardware, etc. They are common enough - you shouldn't have any problem
finding them.

Not online but at Harbor Freight....as much as I hate to reccomend it.

My neighbor bought himself a set of tool arbor bushings at HF, he
knows I hate the the place & the crap they sell.

He bought me a set of bushings as well.

Don't the saw blade manufacturers have them?

I have the same problem. An old Craftsman/King Seeley 8 1/4 inch table
saw with half inch arbor. I got it cheap at a garage sale, I suspect
the previous owner thought the saw was defective as he had a 5/8 hole
blade on it with no bushing - the vibration was awesome.

I found bronze sleeve bearings at the local Ace hardware with 1/2 inside
and 5/8 outside diameter. Made an arbor out of a carriage bolt and
couple of washers which holds the sleeve in my drill press. Then I hold
a hacksaw to the spinning sleeve bearing and slice off eighth inch
bushings. I've used up three of the bronze bearings, made at least a
dozen bushings. Bushed up an entire Freud Dado set this way.

Wouldn't the bushing need to be as thin, or slightly less, as the saw
blade? Make your own with a half dollar coin or an old saw blade.
Would a slice of 1/2" galvanized pipe work?
