Gluing wood to aluminum will fail, no matter the adhesive. Aluminum expands
and contracts uniformly in all directions based on temperature changes.
Wood movement, diagonal to the grain is more significant the with the grain.
I would suggest making lightweight wood veneer panels and mechanically
fasten them to the aluminum.
