I know some of you guys have great SWMBO's, but I gotta gloat a bit
over mine.
Been married to my other half now for over 22 years. When the WWW
store I was the Asst. Manager at closed down, she showed up when stuff
was at 70% off and started buying up a bunch of stuff for me. She kept
walking around the store saying, "What's this thing? Can you use this?
Can you use that?" She ended up buying me about $1200 worth of really
good stuff for about $275.!!
Now comes another good deal... The other night, she and I were at
Foxwoods casino with 10 other relatives for dinner. After dinner, she
asked if she could play the slots for a while. Well normally I kinda
hate it when she does this because I end up hanging around for a few
hours totally bored. Well there was a good band playing in the Atrium
longe, so I told her to go ahead and I just sat down, had a beer and
intended on listening to the band for the time. Well in a few short
minutes, she called me on the cell phone and told me to come to where
she was because she just won a jackpot! :o)
Turns out she won three grand!
Then you know what she did? She dropped 14 one hundred dollar bills
into my hands from her winnings and said, "Now you can go get that
planer-thing you've been wanting!"
So now tomorrow morning we're going down to the Old Saybrook tool
store and picking up my new Delta 15" planer!
Whatta gal, huh?

Hi Terry, I'm going to make a suggestion and tell you to make her
something special for your 23rd...She's the real jackpot!! You missed
a hidden gloat here, too. You knew when to walk out! I know to most
people that sounds stupid but I have a short story. One of our loggers
showed up on the landing one morning and told Jim he won $38,000! He'd
log by day and play slots all night whenever the job was anywhere near
a casino..literally. Jim told him to take the day and go buy a new
truck and Harley (12 years ago when you could actually do both). To
make this story short, 2 months later we had to buy his CAT so he
could pay bills. He gave it all back. Jana

Damn.... I couldn't handle Massachusetts (I'm a gun owner). Beyond that, she
sounds like my kind of woman. Pity....

Yeah and she's sinle too...40 years old, fairly good lookin'...lives
just outside of Boston and is some kind of bigwig at a publishing
company. Married to her career type. You know...makes a ton of money,

Terry
I agree with Capt'nBob that Coastal is good but I also have to agree with
Barry that Tools Plus is a place to check as well. I picked up a Delta
Jointer and Drill Press at Tools Plus that was about $250 and $100
respectively cheaper. Call them and don't go by their online prices there is
some pricing difference in store.
The $350 savings allowed me to step up to a Mini Max band saw. No deals
there however.
Terry you have the most gracious wife and you are very fortunate of both her
and her good luck.
Best Regards
Rich

Yes, it is in the same spot that the old WWW was in. The fellow who
was the manager of the old WWW store there, Wayne, is working there as
is the former manager of the Norwich store, Mike. Both good guys and
knowledgable.

Good for you, Terry. By the way the Western Tool in Hyannis has not
added very much woodworking stuff. It remains very much a
contractor's tool place.
I hoped you checked prices at Coastal Tool in Connecticut. They've
usually been pretty good.
Take care.

Ask her if she wants to Sugar Mama a west-coast dude for awhile.
I'd treat her right. Her place or mine (send RT ticket). I'm easy.
