A history teacher, was he high school or junior high teacher? Kids
remember teachers. Tom Baker will be remembered. Probably more if he
was a high school teacher. I have a couple of friends over in Iraq. One
is Brad Lutz, he has a couple of kids. He switched from regular Army
over to the Reserves thinking he might get to stay in the service and
not go overseas. So much for wishful thinking. I wish they could all
come home safe.
Thank you for the good luck wish, TV has become a pretty big
desensitizing device. They don't usually show how people mourn for
years over their sons, and for the very young, their fathers. I live
about 50 miles from Fort Campbell KY. We hear of someone hurt or lost
nearly every day, not to mention all of the Indiana boys to the north.
They were showing a memorial service on the news tonight. A person who
kills one man hurts so many others. This applies no less to soldiers.
Goodnight 1369
Tom in KY
aren't you a little obsessed?
Listen, you offer nothing... I'm not like you~
I fought my fight in Vietnam and 8 years Honorable Service 70 -78 USMC. You
could be more creative instead of playing on my junkyard dog thing....
Why would I want to be there? The war is/was a mistake? The President EVEN
said it was! Are you both stupid and challenged by simple logic?

Many of us do................ Good Luck to him!!!! To use the Guard and
Reserve's with equipment going back to Korea is a pathetic way to save cash!
Most of the kids here have never experienced the real horrors of war.... TV
is all they can claim! So they gobble it up like it's a NASCAR crash never
bothering to realize these men and woman all have family's.nor caring about
them either............

Funny so many kids more upset that I'm "spamming" em..... I love the morons
calling me anti-soldiers because I prefer less are killed over "mistakes"
and unnecessary reasons and outright stupidity or worse trying to save a
buck!. I'm certainly not anti-war.... But Afghanistan and Osama should have
remained job one until we corrected that whole situation....
What they also don't understand because so many offer nothing of value to
mankind and society, that Einstein's, Bill Gate's etc etc are being killed.
People who could have achieved great things for humanity (Gates just a
vastly superior businessman) vanquished by a stupid IED! They only see it as
one less trailer in the park!
Take care Tom! You too!

Actually, you're not "spamming". Over the years, the use of the word
spam has been expanded somewhat. What you're doing is a little closer
to trolling.
That said, while you may find people that agree with you (hell, you
can find someone to agree with just about anything so that's no big
accomplishment) the only thing that puzzles me is why you persist in
this activity that accomplishes absolutely nothing... except to supply
you with some attention that you seem to crave. (In the same vein I'm
puzzled by my own urge to reply to your posts when that accomplishes
nothing as well. I think I need a hobby or something.)
If you truly believe in activism, I would be curious as to what
activities you take part in other than posting off-topic crap and
juvenile name calling to a woodworking newsgroup. If we assume you're
bright enough to see that what you're doing acomplishes nothing, what
have you done that actually DOES accomplish something? Are you a
little dog making noise on the sidelines or are you a big dog actually
in the fight?
I suspect the answer to that is pretty self evident... if you were
THERE, then you wouldn't be HERE ;-)

I should clarify for you. When I said be "there" or be "here" I meant
"there" as in doing something useful and constructive to futher your
ideas vs "here" acomplishing nothing but making an ass of yourself.
The idea was that if you were there, you wouldn't be here. Get it now?
