MAJOR PROJECT

http://www.dltk-kids.com/crafts/peanuts/msnoopy.html

Going by some of the questions asked lately, this WILL be a major
project for some.

Next time someone asks for plans, and isn't specific, you can pass
this along.

For joining the paper to the tube, what glue would you suggest? It's
confusing due to the random grain direction in the paper. It's not an
end grain joint, but doesn't seem to be long grain to long grain
either. The materials themselves suggest a butt joint...

And how about the finish? My usual polyurethane choice might be a
little heavy for this project. Perhaps BCO (boiled castor oil)?
And how can I create a nice streaky brown finish on this material?

Should I store the materials in my shop for a couple of weeks to allow
them to stabilize? The roll I have set aside has been stored in a
humid environment. How long will it take it to dry?
