After removing the bolt inside the chuck the chuck then threads off the
shaft with a common right hand turn.

To unscrew the chuck, put the short end of a large allen wrench in the chuck
and tighten the chuck on it. Then hit the side of the long part of the allen
wrench with a sharp hammer blow in the direction that will unscrew the
chuck. The hammer blow will break it free.
