Bulding router fence to fit back of t-slot TS fence

I have a mule accusquare table saw fence system.

I am looking to build a router fence to mount to the back side similar
to the one made by Mule
http://www.mulecab.com/accessories.asp?mnu_Products=3&Access_ID=6

My plan was to get some two inch thick stock mount it to the fence
with some t-slot bolts. On the "outside" of the 2 inch stock I was
going to mount a t-track to allow the attachment of a split fence.

Does anyone see any issues with this? My biggest concern is that
there is no way to remove or adjust the fences without using a socket
set. I would need a socket set since the bolts would have to be
counter sunk.

Does anyone have a better way set up a router fence on a t-slot TS
fence?

Also what material should I use for this? Unless someone tells me
otherwise I was planing on using mdf
