DoD Identifies Army Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who were
supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Pfc. Scott A. Messer, 26, of Ashland, Ky., died in Ashraf, Iraq,
on Feb. 2, when his HMMWV accidentally rolled over during convoy operations.
Messer was assigned to the Army's 1st Squadron, 32nd Cavalry Regiment, 1st
Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Ky.
The incident is under investigation.
