Is anyone here using Agent 4.2 to post pictures to abpw.
I was trying to post a couple of pics of the epoxy stair today and I
can't for the life of me get my folder settings correct for that group
and the binaries.
One part (of 6) came back as a partial .jpg and the rest were ascii
characters.
Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

Agent automatically combines images. The reason his images were multiple
postings was because they were so large. I've resize them for viewing.

Mike.. been using Agent for years with no problem, unless it's a huge picture..
Not a problem, really, because we shouldn't be posting big pictures.. ;-]
I just drag a few .jpg files into the post and hit send.. works ok, though some
folks are annoyed that it makes 2 posts, one for the text and one for the
pictures.. No big deal, IMO..
If you want a great program to reduce the size and the FILE SIZE of your
pictures, try Irfanview..
it's free and very fast.. also easy to use.. you open the picture in it, tell it
the image size you want, (I'd recommend a max of 800 x 600), and do a "save as"
the save as asks for the folder to save in, a name for the file, and what
"quality" you want the picture to be.. I usually pick around 40%
The lower the quality, the smaller the file size..
If you're not going to print the picture, it usually show very well at around 25
or 30%

Mike,
Right click onany one of the folders in the folder list and select
default properties from the drop down list. Select UUEncode and
Attachment from the two drop down lists in the properties window.
Check "Include Attachement filename..." and un-check any other boxes.
This should do the trick.

The second time I sent them yEnc and they worked fine in Agent here
but that doesn't seem to work for everyone. I'll switch to the UU
Encode next time.
