I have a long bolt. A round head bolt that I have turned the square
round. (almost round - tapering it a bit to fit tighter.)

I place the bolt in the spindle from the far end and it sticks out maybe
4". I use a rubber mallet and give it a whack while I hold the
spur in a rag. The spur pops out and I withdraw the bolt.
