My periodic run to HF to get the cheap stuff resulted in a couple nice
finds.
1. 3/4" deep throat pipe clamps for $6 each. These things must weigh 10
pounds. I think you could crush a car with them. the 10" pipe cost me $8
at menards. so now I have two 5' long pipe clamps for $20.
2. Diamond hones $9. A set of three - fine, medium, coarse. these things
are about 2X6. I tried the fine one out on my pocket knife that seriously
needed honing. About three strokes on the fine one sharpened it right up.
I doubt I will ever even use the medium or coarse ones. These things really
cut.
3. Hex shank drill bit 13 piece set $4. have not tried them yet, but they
have a brad point so the drill does not wander and TIN plated. have not
tried them yet but they look decent.
4. Could not resist for $3 a set of diamond cutoff dremel type wheels. I
think there are 5 of them with the shaft. Have yet to try them. tossed
them in my dremel box.
5. Dick Van Dyke DVD 3 old TV shows. $2. I wrapped it in a HF ad and gave
it to my wife as a xmas present. My plan is to give her several xmas
presents along the way just to make her crazy since she can't open them till
xmas eve. :-)
I think HF needs to open an outlet here in Canada particularly the London /
Chatham area. You done good except for the video, never did like Dick Van
Dyke.
I do like the idea of a bunch of small gifts through the year for the wife
to drive her nuts, except with my wife I have found over the years she
shakes it once and then tells you what's inside.
good score

I believe HF is opening many stores everywhere in the States here, why don't you
write them? HF is opening one in our city early next month.
