That is funny. But for the task at hand, a hacksaw may have been better
suited. At least it would not have needed 470 feet of extension cord!

I know electric drills don't pull many amps, but there had to be some
voltage drop at the end of 470 feet of cord. Probably light gauge cord
too. Poor little drill.
