?? GMC TP2000 thicknesser - any good ??

I'm looking to buy a thicknesser for hobby use (finally after years of
building bits of furniture around the house).

Its not going to get a lot of use (i think) so i dont want something too
expensive but i do want it to work. Preferrably without too much snipe etc.

The local stores here in Sydney have either the Ryobi AP13 or a GMC TP2000
It seems most favour the GMC over the Ryobi.

Does anyone know anything about this thicknesser?
Is it worth $359 aus or should i look at spending more serious money?

Thanks in advance

Peter,

Both machines are pretty much identical.
You can find a review of the AP13 at
