Just got my new issue of Workbench magazine. Penofin finishes has
stopped doing business with Big Box stores because the demands of the big
boxes would have forced this family owned business to offshore its
production to reduce prices. So now is the opportunity for those who are
complaining about the detrimental effects offshoring is having on our
economy and to support a family-owned business at the same time.

I use their penetrating rosewood oil finish on an ipe coffee deck table.
Works great. One caveat: they say to apply liberally and wipe off excess,
as for most oil stains. I didn't, and it got gummy in the corners where it
was thick. My own damn fault, but look out, just in case.
