Ditto.
As for the transition, are you using a marble threshold? Are the two
finished floors level?
Transitions can range from a simple vinyl "tee" section that plugs
into a metal track, to a grouted marble strip, to wooden shapes that
transition different height floors.
Information about the gap that needs to exist, and the actual
transition product itself can be had from the manufacturer of the
flooring. The gap will vary depending upon which side of the
flooring it's touching (end or long grain) and what's on the other
side.
