Or lack there of:
Get my new D1600 Friday afternoon, open the box to find everything but
the manual. Call to Leigh was helpful. They will have one sent and I can
print out the chapters online until I get it. Sunday morning I start my
setup of the jig and that's when all hell broke loose. Right support
bracket has the hole but it's not tapped. OK. quick fix with a 1/4-20
tap. Moving on.
1-9 Loosen the scale lock screw at both ends.
1-10 Slide finger assembly onto the support brackets in the TD Tails
mode, Set to ALL.
1-11 Tighten both scale lock screws. What's this, the screws are now
flipped over toward the jig and can't be tightened.
1-12 Rotate the finger assembly to the TD Pins mode and move the outer
guidefingers to touch the scale blocks. What's this, now the fingerguide
screws are toward the jig.
Unless you down loaded the "Entire" manual you may want to waif for the real
one to arrive. I suspect that you have missed some important details. IIRC
mine used self tapping screws in those holes and It is often helpful to have
your work or scrap samples of your wood in the jig before making
adjustments.

What did Leigh have to say back to you? Was the jig outsourced to China? If
so, that explains it.

Sorry to hear about this.
I've had my D1600 for a little over a month.
Everything was spot on.
