I had to take apart my bandsaw to replace the lower thrust bearing.
While at it, I had to do something about the stupid latch that Delta put
right in the way of removing the blades. They always get caught on the
spring latch.
So I moved the latch over and it really makes it easier.

Minor work, major benefit. I hate spending a lot of time switching
stuff around.
Hope this helps.

You ever use that thing?
There ain't a speck of sawdust on that damn thing<g>
Yea, well what do you call the cleaning.. to me it's preventitive
maintenance....
I had to take the wheels off too to check the bearings and also the
wheel tilt mechanism. It was binding up when I released the slack... I
thought it might have been bent. But it was fine. I had tilted the
wheel too much. Not sure why since it is running fine coplanar. Maybe I
did it for a smaller blade... more finicky.
Anyway this little fix saves about a minute or 2 of screwing around that
stupid little catch..

A man after my own heart. I can be quite the slob sometimes, and the
clutter that is commonplace in my workshop bay of my garage is proof of
that, but like you if I have to tear something down for repair, I detail it
before putting it back together - unless I'm right in the middle of
something that requires that tool. PM - hell I haven't done that in
decades...

Well, like I said I was replacing the bearing. So I cleaned the whole
thing down. Vacd, blew it out, including the lower stand and motor.
To me once I have to service it. I PM it...
I'll assume you keep your toys nice and dirty so everyone knows that you
do work. 8>)

with a cold beer<g>
