Nope- Obama apologized to the Japanese for causing them such
anguish that they had to do it.

What does it mean when drool runs
out of both sides of a drunken
Congressman's mouth?

The floor is level.

It is too bad that more people don't remember this day. Yours is the
first mention of it that I have seen on the newsgroups I watch.
It won't be long before all of those that was there that day will be gone.
They all deserve a salute always.

Is there anyone he hasn't apologized to at this point?

That would be "dip-shit ass-hole", to be proper...

I used to hate seeing posts like this. Absolutely hated them. Then...
times changed. Though I used to think that people well enough knew the
lessons from history without silly reminders, I came to realize that there
is a different mindset at work today.

Today we have revisionists at work who have their own agenda to promote, and
for whom the complete and total distortion of truth is no stumbling block to
their agendas. There are those who would try to convince you that the
Holocaust never took place. There are those would try to convince you that
all we ever did in Viet Nam was rape babies and kill innocent women. There
are those who would try to convince you that we are the arrogant and evil
force within the world, and that we need to apologize for all of our past
behaviors. Our own most esteemed leader is one of those.

All of that said - it is now more true than it ever was, that Lew's reminder
is essential. This is a country that has fought for and sacrificed for, the
lives and well-being of people around the world, not even related to the
comfort of our own homefront. This is a country that has been attacked from
foreign shores with all of the cowardice that includes the attack on Pearl
Harbor, 911, USS Cole and many more. All because we did exactly what???

The reminder is that we have realized losses of loved ones for no good
reason, only to satisfy the lusts of perpetrators of all sorts.

Sorry Lew - you said it much better than I did, because you kept it brief.
I've just decided that I'd finally get on board with the reminders.

I will always remember. My dad was on Sipan in Aug '45 when the Enola
Gay and Bockscar did their job so well.

Don't get me started on that apologetic dip-shit.

Gordon Shumway

Our Constitution needs to be used less as a shield
for the guilty and more as a sword for the victim.

Don't think it doesn't go without being noticed.
My Dad wasn't involved with Pearl Harbor, but he did ride a B-24 liberator
as a bombabier and flew 25 combat missions over Germany and came home alive,
and thankfully to father me. I can't tell you how much respect I have for
all of those guys. Their service is something I can never repay, and I love
them all. I'll never be half the man my father was.
God bless them all.
