Folding rules?

I've picked up a couple of decent ones from Ebay...may be worth a try.

Latest Garret-Wade catalog (yesterday) has the 3' and a note that the 2'
"blindman's rule" is no longer made.

You've already gotten answers.

I found that when I used a folding ruler, of any length, sooner or
later I always wound up breaking one, or both, of the ends off. So, I
stopped using folding rulers, many years ago.

My 7th grade shop teacher would always cuff us upside the ear (or
yank on the short hairs behind the ear) if we referred to a 'rule'
as a 'ruler'. "A ruler is a King", he'd thunder.

These days, if there was a shop at all, the teacher would compliment
the student on his use of english to boost self-esteem. Bit sad,
really.

I have a three foot folder from Rabone (No 1167) that I believe I got
from Garrett Wade. I don't know if they have a two foot in their
line.

Rockler has a 24" called a Critter or some such.

i've found several in good condition at antique shops since they all assume
it is an antiquated form of measuring

no it's not. I meant it's assumed by the antique dealers that's it's an
outdated form of measuring
